Ariel is the birth doula and founder of Rooted in Love (RIL) Doula Services in Stafford, Virginia.

Inspired by her familial birth experiences with a doula, Ariel became a Birth Doula to encourage women to step into their instinctual power and to help create breathing room during birth. She loves to make space for women to connect with their bodies, babies and best birthing experiences. Ariel loves being a doula as it gives her the opportunity to help guide women through one of the most memorable life events they experience and to advocate for the mental, emotional and spiritual sides of birth.

Ariel’s birth work began in 2014 in Philadelphia as a Healthy Start Advocate (community trained doula) and lactation counselor. In 2021, Ariel pursued further training to get certified as a DONA birth doula, childbirth educator and re-certified as a lactation counselor.

Ariel has diverse experience working with families and birth plans. She is happy to support vaginal births and c-sections at hospitals, birth centers or homes (as long as a medical professional is present). In the birthing room, Ariel works to create moments of intentionality and connection, supporting mother first and foremost while guiding her partner(s) thoughtfully through labor.
